ZEN JAPANESE RESTAURANT POLICIES
Reservation and seating policies
Zen Japanese Restaurant is a reservation driven restaurant. We do welcome walk in guests and will accommodate them as much as possible.
Reservations are accepted by phone. Our staff is here to answer the phone between 11a.m.- 12 p.m. and after 4pm Tuesday through Saturday. All other times, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. Reservation request messages left on the voice mail are honored in the order they are received. Please clearly state name, and number of guests in party, date requested and especially your telephone phone number. Please take note that if you do not hear back from us confirming your reservation, your reservation is not considered taken.
Large Party Policy
Large party reservations (7 or more, Max 12) are difficult to accommodate given the size of the restaurant. A large party reservation during service hours will require a credit card to reserve, we will call to confirm a day to the reservation date. Our ability to increase the number of diners in a party is very limited. (Please check out a cancellation policy.)
Reservation Timing Policy
Parties that are late for their scheduled reservation time are given ten minutes before we contact the phone number that was provided to ascertain arrival status. Given the limited seating of the restaurant, fifteen minutes late with no contact will void your reservation. Please understand, this is solely due to the size and seating capacity of the restaurant. If you are late, we urge you to contact us so we can make our best effort to accommodate you and your party.
Time Limit Policy
Time limit per table per reservation: Because we are scheduling multiple parties each evening and have to account for reservations later in the service as well as the time it takes to serve each guest, we reserve the right to limit your time at the table to two hours (timed from the scheduled reservation; not the time seated) and this time limit policy is applied only 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. reservation customers.
Sushi Counter Seating Policy
Due to high popularity to dine at sushi counter, we have to have a special policy for sushi counter. Sushi counter is designed for the customers who enjoy sushi most of their entire meal.
Also, we are no longer able to accommodate children under 5 years old at the Sushi counter.
Private Room Policy
Our private room can accommodate a maximum of 10 people. If you wish to book the private room for a special occasion, you need a minimum of 8 guests in your party and there is a minimum charge of $100 per person, as well as a credit card to reserve. If your party is less than 8 people and still wish to use a private room, we will charge for $100 x short guests number, but we will issue the same amount of a gift card to the card holder for future visit. (Example: If your party is 5 and still want to use private room, we will charge $300 and a $300 gift card will be issued to the card holder.)
**NOTE: GIFT CARD NOT REDEEMABLE FOR CASH**
